Karl Kingsley, Jason Emett, Roxanne David, Jaydene McDaniel, and Steven McDaniel (all Dental) published their work on oral microbiology in the latest issue of MDPI Methods and Protocols. Dr. Georgia Dounis (Dental) co-authored 鈥淩egional Variation in States' Naloxone Accessibility Laws in Association with Opioid Overdose Death Rates-Observational Study (STROBE Compliant),鈥 which appeared in the May issue of Medicine (Baltimore).
Dr. James Mah (Dental) co-authored 鈥淢ixed-Dentition Treatment with Clear Aligners and Vibratory Technology,鈥 which appeared in the April issue of the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics. Mah also wrote an editorial about clear aligners that appeared in the June issue of the Journal of Aligner Orthodontics.
Dr. David Cappelli (Dental) co-authored 鈥淎ssessing Oral Health Status, Practices, and Access to Care among War-Affected Refugees Living in San Antonio, Texas,鈥 which appeared May 24 online ahead of print in the European Journal of Dentistry.
Dr. Steven Mann and Dr. Karl Kingsley (both Dental) co-authored 鈥淗uman Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccine Knowledge, Awareness and Acceptance among Dental Students and Post-Graduate Dental Residents,鈥 which appeared in the May 9 issue of Dentistry Journal.
Dr. Tanya Al-Talib and Dr. Neamat Hassan (both Dental) accepted invitations to lead webinars for the Saudi Dental Education Society. Dr. John Colombo (Dental) received a $25,000 Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) pilot grant to test his team鈥檚 hand-held tool that uses drug-free oxidant-generating technology to remove biofilms from dental pulp. Unlike other electrochemical-driven devices that have metal or boron-doped diamond electrodes, Colombo鈥檚 tool generates鈥

Dr. Frank Jones (Dental) accepted an invitation to present "Advanced Concepts of Implant Therapy" to DS4 students at the Autonomous University of Baja California Dental School in Tijuana, Mexico, in March.
