Dr. Jeffrey Ebersole (Dental) co-authored 鈥淢ucosal circadian rhythm pathway genes altered by aging and periodontitis,鈥 which published in the December 6 issue of PLoS ONE. The study examined the expression of circadian rhythm genes in periodontitis, and concluded that variation in disease expression and the underlying molecular mechanisms of鈥
Katherine Howard, Karl Kingsley, Matthew Hunsaker, Adelle Fuller, and Brandon Richards (all Dental Medicine) recently published their study, "Expression of Exosome-Derived MicroRNAs miR-21 and miR-135 are Differentially Regulated Among Dental Pulp Stem Cells," in the latest issue of Current Research in Medicine. 
Dr. Tanya Al-Talib (Dental Medicine) has been appointed as the Nevada Delegate to the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO). The society, which is the largest constituent organization of the American Association of Orthodontists, focuses on helping its nearly 3,000 members provide the highest level of care. She will also serve on the PCSO鈥

Karl Kingsley, Ching Shen, J. Brigham Clawson, and Justin Simpson (all Dental Medicine) recently published their study, "Oral Prevalence of Akkermansia muciniphila Differs Among Pediatric and Adult Orthodontic and Non-Orthodontic Patients," in Special Issue Microbiology of Oral Diseases in the MDPI journal Microorganisms.
