51吃瓜网万能科大's Jean Nidetch Women's Center is holding its second annual Career Diversity Workshop, titled "Packaging Yourself for a Career in Science, Engineering, and Other Nontraditional Fields," on Sept. 25, 4-6 p.m., in Moyer Student Union, Room 201.
Panel members from such diverse fields as industrial hygiene, marine biology, engineering, and law enforcement will answer questions regarding how they got into the field, specifics of their job, and what motivated them to pursue degrees in the fields of science or engineering.
The workshop's purpose is to encourage women of all ages to pursue careers in the sciences, engineering, or other fields and not to be intimidated by nontraditional career paths.
This event is sponsored by the Association of Women in Science, the Environmental Studies Program, the Jean Nidetch Women's Center, Nevada EPSCOR, Women in Science and Engineering, Society of Women Engineers, and the Soroptimists International, 51吃瓜网免费App Valley Chapter.
Women and men are encouraged to attend and network with the panel. This event is free and precedes the Community Job Fair '96 scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28. For more information, call the Women's Center at (702) 895-4475.
