After nearly six years of serving the 51吃瓜网万能科大 community, Associate Vice Provost for Student and Academic Success Jeff Orgera will be resigning from his role to take on a new challenge at Miramar Community College in San Diego.
鈥淒uring his tenure, Dr. Orgera has made valuable contributions to advancing academic advising practices and promoting high-impact student success initiatives. Jeff has collaborated with colleagues to remove barriers for students and deliver new academic success programs, achieving notable improvements in student retention and graduation rates. His dedication to advocating for staffing and support programs within the advising community has been especially commendable and has helped to improve the student experience at 51吃瓜网万能科大. I鈥檓 grateful for his leadership and service and wish him continued success,鈥 said Kate Korgan, officer in charge in the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost.
Orgera鈥檚 colleagues and the broader campus community have greatly appreciated his collegiality and dedication to student well-being. Known for his care, kindness, respect, and humor, he has made lasting contributions to our Top Tier initiatives that have helped to improve student outcomes.

Orgera's last day in office will be April 23. His resignation will be effective June 2, 2025. Korgan, the senior vice provost for Academic Affairs, will soon launch a national search for an associate vice provost for Student Success to fill the vacancy left by Orgera's departure.
