Details
More than 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to participate in this winter’s commencement, up slightly from last year.
Participants range in age from 20 to 72, and hail from 33 states, the District of Columbia, and 49 foreign countries. Approximately 85 percent of graduates are Nevada residents and more than half – 63 percent – are from ethnically diverse backgrounds. Since 1964, 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÍòÄÜ¿Æ´ó has awarded nearly 136,000 degrees.
51³Ô¹ÏÍøÍòÄÜ¿Æ´ó acting president Marta Meana will award an honorary doctorate to Ruby Duncan and highlight four graduating students for their outstanding academic and community achievements.
