Kavita Batra (Medicine) was recently honored with the Distinguished Contribution Award by the Graduate & Professional Student Association (GPSA) during the GPSA Research Forum held on May 2, 2025. This recognition follows her receipt of the Outstanding Mentor Award from the GPSA in 2023, underscoring her sustained commitment to graduate and professional student success. The Distinguished Service Award, in particular, honors faculty and staff who go above and beyond to reduce student stress and foster holistic success throughout graduate and professional education. Dr. Batra was nominated by an impressive 66 individuals, including medical students, public health students, and faculty members across campus. She extends her heartfelt thanks to all who supported her and also to the members of the GPSA Awards Selection Committee.
