Project Wellness President Jose Llanes, faculty co-advisors to Project Wellness Ursula Kamanga (Honors; Communication Studies) and Daniel Bubb (Honors; Academic Affairs), the Project Wellness Executive Board, and the Project Wellness Planning Board published an article in The Beacon, a newsletter distributed to colleges and universities that are accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (including 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÍòÄܿƴó).
The article discusses the evolution of Project Wellness, a registered student organization at 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÍòÄܿƴó that addresses mental health challenges students at 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÍòÄܿƴó and other colleges and universities across the country encounter. The article includes Project Wellness' mission, which is to help 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÍòÄܿƴó provide a campus environment where students can feel comfortable discussing mental health issues without feeling intimidated or judged; eliminating the stigma associated with mental health; and helping 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÍòÄܿƴó students know that they are not alone in their challenges with mental health.
